TA Structures manufactures in Sicamous, British Columbia, so BC projects ship the shortest distance of any region we serve. Mine dry facilities, drill camps, portable offices and classrooms leave the plant complete and arrive ready to set. Modular buildings in BC cover the full range the plant builds, from a single portable classroom through to an eight-unit camp complex, and the short haul means a delivery date can be held more tightly than on a cross-border project.
Coastal damp, interior snow load and northern cold all get engineered for before the first wall goes up. R20 exterior walls, R40 roofs and sealed envelopes are standard rather than upgrades, and HVAC is specified for the conditions a building will work in. Interior walls are insulated for sound dampening where a building mixes accommodation with working space.
Building In Sicamous Since 1977, Delivering Across BC
TA Structures started building houseboats in Sicamous in 1977 and moved into workforce buildings in 2006, and the plant still runs structural, welding, fabrication, cabinetry and interior finishing teams in house alongside a CWB-certified weld shop. Every unit carries CSA A277 certification and BCCSA COR. Recent BC work includes classroom complexes in Salmon Arm, Kamloops and Kelowna, a self-contained washroom facility in Fort St. John, and the RCMSAR floating rescue station in Sicamous — the only inland freshwater rescue station in the province.
