Modular Structures for Agriculture

Prefab Agricultural Buildings For Rural Sites

The durable modular buildings proven on mining and forestry sites are available to agricultural and rural operations without modification to the standard of build. Seasonal worker accommodation, washroom facilities, site offices and storage all come from the same line and carry the same certification. Units run 48 to 60 feet long in 12 or 14 foot widths, in wood-frame modular construction with metal siding, and arrive with interiors finished rather than as a shell to fit out once it lands.

An Envelope Built To Take Farm-Site Weather

Exposed rural sites get the same envelope as the northern camps: 2×6 walls at 16 inches on centre with R20 insulation, R40 roofs, and floor assemblies insulated to hold temperature through a full season. Interior walls can be insulated for sound dampening where accommodation sits alongside working space. HVAC is specified for the site rather than to a standard template, which matters where a building has to handle both a prairie winter and a harvest-season heat load.

Delivered And Set On Skids Or Foundations

Buildings ship complete from Sicamous and are set on skids or foundations depending on how long the operation will run. Triple 35 LB skids let a building be repositioned as land use changes. Every unit carries Alberta Part 10, CSA A277, BCCSA COR, ISO-9001:2008 and WCB documentation, and foundation load data is supplied for a local engineer to confirm the base. Rural operations can also take custom steel fabrication from the CWB-certified weld shop attached to the same plant.
