Modular Structures for Government & Indigenous Communities
Government And Community Buildings, Built Through Partnership
TA Structures serves government, public-sector and Indigenous community projects across Canada, from classrooms and daycares through to offices and community facilities. Engagement starts early, aligned with UNDRIP and the TRC Calls to Action, so solutions are co-created rather than imposed. That means layout, finishes and scope are worked through with the people who will use the building before manufacturing starts, and changes during the build are redrawn, priced and confirmed rather than quietly absorbed into the schedule.
Operating on Secwepemc traditional territory, TA Structures works with Knowledge Keepers, Elders and community members on projects that reflect local identity. The Shihiya School classroom in Splatsin serves students from preschool through grade 6. Community buildings carry the same certification as every other unit that leaves the plant, including CSA A277 factory certification and BCCSA COR, so a project that is meaningful to a community is also straightforward for the authority reviewing it.
Off-site manufacturing means a community keeps operating while its building takes shape. The Nlha’7Kapmx Child and Family Services Society office expansion was installed with no interruption to day-to-day services. TA Structures has built in Sicamous since 1977 and keeps structural, welding, cabinetry and interior finishing teams in house, so a community project is handled by the same people start to finish, and transport, craning and installation can be coordinated directly or shared with local contractors where that supports local employment.
