Camps For Forestry Operations

Remote forestry crews take complete camps: sleeping units, kitchen and dining, washrooms and site offices delivered as finished modules rather than built on site. Blocks move every season, so skid-mounted construction matters more here than almost anywhere else. Triple 35 LB skids let a camp be repositioned as the harvest advances instead of being written off at the last landing, which turns the camp into a multi-year asset rather than a per-block cost.

Forestry Camps Built For Remote Access

Buildings leave the plant complete so that setting a camp does not depend on local trades being available at the right week. Insulated units hold temperature through the full season, with R20 walls, R40 roofs and heated service runs where winter operation is expected. Self-contained water treatment and holding tanks handle landings with no services at all, sized to the crew and the servicing interval rather than to a standard tank.

A Collaborative Build, Designed Around Retention

Layouts are worked through with the client before manufacturing starts, and changes mid-build get redrawn, priced and confirmed rather than quietly absorbed into the schedule. That is easier when structural, welding, cabinetry and interior finishing all sit in one Sicamous plant. A Prince George-area operation took that approach into crew accommodation designed around retention: single rooms, a real kitchen, quiet walls and working internet. Turnover, not construction, was the problem being solved.
