Modular buildings for worksite accommodation have come a long way since the days of flimsy, barebones tin can structures.

Companies looking for portable buildings such as oilfield trailers, wellsite trailers, forestry or mining accommodation now have the option to choose well-built, mobile, affordable modular building structures from a company with a long history of buliding luxury accommodations.

Alternative Energy Production Worksites

Much has been written and said over the past few years about the potential for alternative energy sources such as wind, solar and other non-traditional energy sources. This potential is now a reality.

Governments across North America and around the world are investing in new alternative energy projects. This has resulted in a large number of startups and existing providers struggling to manage multiple projects with complicated logistical requirements.

Many companies are now trying to gear up capacity for building production sites in areas that are often remote and without affordable temporary accommodations. The best sites for wind farms, for example are often located deep in rural areas, mountain passes, or on hilltops and coast lines far from convenient urban facilities.

TA Structures can help companies streamline their logistics and make their on-site operations more comfortable and productive with our line of standard or customizable mobile offices and modular accommodation structures.

Structures for Build Teams and Maintenance

Many alternative energy projects (wind and solar farms for example) differ from traditional energy production in that the necessary staffing may be high in the build phase but ongoing production requires very little in the way of on-site personnel.

For this reason, the most efficient use of modular structures to solve accommodation and work space requirements at these locations is often two-fold.

First, mobile accommodation units can be brought in the provide interior work space and comfortable accommodation for the build teams. These units can be any combination of self-contained living units for a few personnel to modular base camps made up of multiple units that provide facilities for larger numbers of personnel.

Then, upon completion of the build stage, the accommodation units can be transported away from the site leaving only an office unit or multi-purpose unit (office and small accommodation area) on the site as a semi-permanent unit for ongoing testing and required maintenance visits to the site.
